VINTAGE INSPIRATION FRIDAY # 8

Welcome to my Inspiration Friday. I would like to thank Debra from Common Ground for hosting our Vintage Inspiration Friday's. Go on over to her blog to see what inspires a bunch of other bloggers on this very Fall Friday... Last weekend Figgy (Minyele) and I spent the afternoon together. She was inspired by a photograph on the internet of a porch decorated for Fall. Figgy emailed me and said "MOM, I love, love, love this" (when she loves, loves, loves, something she really means it!!) We went to Michael's (always a two hour visit) to purchase some of these pumpkins for the project. And one of these black ones.
And some of these paints.
Here is an area decorated for Halloween prior to the project. See the vintage three tiered stand? This stand has been used for so many different things, I can't tell you them all. It is used for every holiday, it has been to craft shows with us, etc. See the family in the picture? I made that for Figgy several weeks ago.
Here is a closer look. You can see more detail in this blog post.
Here is the finished project. A very large gourd and a pumpkin painted with the metallic paints.
Small gourds and skull heads painted and nicely displayed in a large black wire basket for the coffee table.
Here is a large pumpkin with black circles. The pictures don't show the actual shine they have.
A sweet vignette here with stand, an old box and a vintage crock.
A fun green pumpkin with purple circles, whimsy..
I guess Figgy WAS really inspired!!!
Her home is all set for Halloween, everything looks so wonderful.
What inspires you??
Thanks for stopping by.
Michele
