ONE WORLD ONE HEART GIVEAWAY

UPDATE - UPDATE - UPDATE!!
Welcome everyone to "ONE WORLD ONE HEART" a yearly blog event hosted by Lisa
This is our first year on the tour and we are very excited. For those of you who don't know us yet, we are a mother-daughter team. We are passionate about shopping for, collecting, talking and blogging about vintage and ephemera supplies, with which we turn around into crafts and also sell on etsy.
We just love blogging and are happy to be a part of the One World One Heart event. Through blogging we have made many friends and hope to make many more.  (UPDATE)As part of the One World One Heart event, we have three items for giveaway; a collaged plate with vintage advertisements, a colorful dog bandana/scarf and lastly and newly added, a vintage/ephemera kit of wonderful and unique items we have collected. This is very similar to what we sell in our etsy store.
The first item for giveaway is a wood plate collaged with wonderful vintage scrap advertisements of sewing patterns, fashion, sewing items, etc. This plate will also come with a plate holder for you to display. The plate measures approx. 14" round. See Willy Wonka Pea Doodle (below); he is one of our true loves and he is sporting a dog bandana. These bandanas are different, the dog collar slides INSIDE, therefore it will not come off, OH JOY!!!
The size to be given away will be MEDIUM, for those dogs that are medium to large size, about 40-65 pounds.

We love bringing joy to dogs and dog owners. We travel around the state, via craft shows and outdoor events selling these bandanas along with natural dog treats that we bake ourselves. Maybe we will see you in our travels?!
The third item up for grabs is our kit of vintage/ephemera items. Contained within this kit is the following:

two antique doilys two large pieces of vintage wall paper several pages of vintage sheet music train tickets images of kings, queens and children vintage ribbon, lace, trim, and other fabric goodies antique ephemera and vintage ephemera 3 organza bags vintage wrapping paper antique post cards,
and the list goes on...guaranteed to be a fun lot
Willy is ready to take the magic carpet ride for the One World One Heart event, wont you join him? He's certainly dressed for it!
Willy hopes you experience some beauty, wonderment and make some new friends along the way. Say hello to Willy and enjoy the world of blogging.
To enter the drawing please leave us a post and be sure we have a way to contact you should you win. We will close the giveaway on February 15, 2010, we will use a random number generator to pick three winners. We will contact the winners before midnight by email.

More to Offer

Mom and I have been quite pleased with the contacts we have made through blogging. Many of our new blogger friends have also found our Etsy stores A Closet of Treasures and Nook and Cranny Gifts. We are planning to have a party once we reach 100 "hearts" in our A Closet of Treasures store. Currently we are up to 88, so Mom and I must start planning.
In addition to gaining contacts and followers in our stores, we have also seen sales increase, with that said, we are now planning to offer a wider variety of supplies and hand-crafted items in both stores. We would like to be a one-stop shop for our customers. If you're looking for Vintage and Antique Ephemera supplies and other goodies for scrapbooking, journaling, altered art, collage projects, we might have what you are looking for, or maybe what you didn't even know you needed!! Mom has been adding a lot of new items in the shop. Check out the bundles of lace, trim and vintage buttons my mom found in an old box. These should be listed on etsy by the weekend's end.

Radio Flyer

This radio flyer we found at a local church sale a few years ago. When I saw this little wagon I was so tickled to say the least. I didn't let it out of my sight, (it pays to be early). I knew just what I was going to do with it once I got it home!!!!
I found a teddy bear that needed a great space, sat him in a basket along with some silk flowers and other outdoor items.
This little wagon sits in my flower planter by the road on our lawn for all to enjoy, even in winter.
Have a great day.

WHAT TO DO???

When I just get my area straightened around and picked up this is what I do!! I get things from the closet (a spare bedroom we made into a closet, for in our log cabin we have no closets) bring them out into the living room (living room in our basement) and pour things right on the floor. This was a large (30 gallon) trash bag of lace scraps I purchased from a seamstress last year at her yard sale. When I found this bag I thought I had hit pay dirt to say the least. I asked her how much she wanted for the bag full, she said $5.00. I think she made wedding gowns and accessories. Most is vintage lace, trim and other items. I think what she did was cut lace off from wedding gowns to use in whatever she was making. She sure did spend alot of time doing this because there sure is alot of it. This pile here was only one bag inside of the large bag. I love beautiful things, they make me happy, even if it is pieces of lace and other findings. Visit my etsy shop www.aclosetoftreasures.etsy.com to see what I made with some of my goodies.
Have a great day and thanks for stopping by.

A BLANKET OF WINTER

These are some of my things that have been left outside for the winter. I love how snow and ice cover things, changing their appearance. This lantern has seen much weather. Each year it changes in it's appearance, more rust, fading in color, just plain old, weathered and tired, but I love it. This olde lantern has served me well for picture taking; it is a popular greeting card, prop for holiday decorating and more. You may just see it more than once through out my blog. I enjoy lots of birdhouses around everywhere. Birds do find their homes in some of them. This one has seen many snowfalls, sun and rain. I don't think the birds mind though??
I love icicles. I am sure not one single icicle is the same?? Being married to a heating technician I know icicles are not such a good thing afterall. It shows where there is heat loss coming from your home.
Thanks for stopping by. We will see you soon.

I'D RATHER BE DOING

This is what I spent most of my day doing.....office work, month end and year end business. Wanted to show you my stapler, it is State Property as you can see, wonder which State office it came from....State Highway Department, I probably wasn't even born yet!! I had a sale in my etsy shop, paper ephemera, bridal, wedding. I am sure the brides are starting to shop now for their big day. Feels good to get things caught up for another day. I WOULD MUCH RATHER BE DOING..... This is a bag I am making. I purchased the yarn at a yard sale. I think the colors are very vintage, don't you. I will let you know when I am finished.
Thanks for stopping by. I hope to get some new items posted on etsy when our books are caught up, very soon.
