"WINTER" TAG

I created this tag for a swap at The Craft Hole on Face book.
I named the tag "Winter"
Rules for the swap:  use this image provided to us by the administrator in our tag.
I have been asked if I glittered the cloths pin or purchased this way.  I purchased them colored and then I did glitter them.  I also glittered the snowflake.  I love using this color of blue in winter themed projects, so beautiful.

I have actually used this image once before in a winter/Christmas peat pot project, you can see that here
You can't see in the photos very well that actually  her white shall over her head has very fine white glitter, beautiful....
Thanks so much for stopping by.

VINTAGE APRON STUFFED WITH MARIE ANTIONETTE PRETTY STASH ITEMS

All of this pretty stash is for a swap partner in the Marie Antoinette art group on Face book.
In trying to figure out how I was going to package all of these goodies up I came across this amazing vintage apron I have had in my stash for many years, so I decided to use it.  I do love choosing the packaging for my swaps, I feel this is part of the whole process and it is as much fun as creating the item itself.

The apron has three pockets and all three are full of fun items for my partner to use.
Buttons, bling, paper flowers, hand made flower, book mark, charm, earrings, ephemera, ribbon, vintage lace, organza bags with goodies, all sorts of stash!
Thanks for stopping by.

VALENTINE GOODIES TO CREATE WITH

I went shopping at some local junk shops.
These silk flowers I purchase at the local re-store, you know, one of those junk stores where one never knows what they may find in there.
I ended up with 48 or so for $2.50 how marvelous indeed!

I then moved on to Staples where I had some colored printing done.  For $1.00 per colored page on glossy paper I can't print at home for that price.  So I load up my flash stick and off I go.

I purchased these buttons actually on a different day while in JoAnne's, this sale was 50% off, I do love a sale.  I thought these might be good for Valentine work and Marie Antoinette work.

This paper pad was also 50% off, love the colors.

I just could not resist these little glass owls, don't know what I will do with them if anything, I do hoard some things you know..

The ribbon on the left I got at The Christmas Tree shop for 80% off, thought it could be used for Valentines day, what do you think?

This sugar pot and lamb I purchased at the re-store .50 each.  I think I will make a pin cushion out of the pot.

These next two images are from a Vintage book I purchased for .50, full of images like these to use.
I tried to take a photo of the book, too much glare from the cover.
You will probably be seeing some of this in some of my upcoming work.

Thanks for stopping by.

MORE TREASURES TO SHARE

For those that follow my blog, do you remember this picture?
You can see that post here
Anyways, this was a window of a shop in Kennebunkport Maine that Mr. Nook and I visited while there over the Thanksgiving holiday.  This shop was truly amazing, I can't even tell you!!!

Well, I did promise to show you what I purchased in this shop.
This lovely bird.

This string of snowflakes are what is on the dress in the window.
Pearl trims and a glass icicle.
I may use the pearl trims in my work but the other items I do believe I will just keep close by in my craft room so I can admire it all.
Thanks for stopping by.

TREASURES

Take a look at what my friend, Betsy gave to me a few weeks ago.
While cleaning out a great aunt's home Betsy came across these most beautiful items
This is a collar, notice at the bottom of picture is a bow.
This material/lace is so amazing to say the least.

Table scarfs and such.

Here is the collar again.

More collars.

These are cuffs made from the same material/lace as the collar.

This is so lovely, too.

A few holiday pins and look at the bird pin, this is the most beautiful pin I have ever owned.
The camera is not picking up just how much it sparkles...
I love, love all of my goodies.
Thanks for stopping by.
