BURLAP ROSES

My Figgy and I created these burlap roses for our hoedown barbeque party.
We think they came out pretty good.
I found a tutorial on You tube.
Just search on You tube "burlap roses" and you will find many tutorials.
I think I am going to grunge some of these up and possibly orange and black glitter, Halloween is right around the corner.  I think these would make nice gifts for those swaps I will be doing with special friends.

FANTASTIC FIND

I found this very large (approx.) 11 x 17 very old photograph.
I stopped by my pharmacy last week and near there was a few boxes (free).
I went on over to find this picture in a box.  I could not believe it, well I could for it has a rip, you can probably see that here.
I will be putting this in my craft room, so it doesn't matter to me about the tear.

Do you see the date?  I believe the year has to be 1892, don't believe it is 1992 ha, ha....
I was so pleased with my free find.
Have you found any free items lately?

PRIMITIVE VIGNETTE

This is one of my primitive vignettes on the screen porch by the door.
The item that all of the goodies are in is a handmade dust pan.
This dust pan was created by my father in law, Jimmy.
It is made with a brass mailbox with a brass handle soldered to the mailbox, this swivels (I guess that is what it does) anyhow, this is the best I can describe the construction, genius...
It has a bunch of random things in it.
The brush, watering can piece and, antique hammer  was Jimmy's as well.
There is a horseshoe, a couple of wooden ice fishing jiggers, these belong to Mr. Nook.
I added a vine wreath and bird house and a button garland I made some years back.
