GOODIES TO DECORATE WITH

I hope your holiday was wonderful and all wishes were granted.
I wanted to share with you a few goodies that I received and a new item I made from an old item.
Can anyone guess what this is??
Well I am using it as a candle holder, it is so wonderful. I love, love the ember colors.
Have you figured it out yet?
Well it is a light fixture, part of an old vintage fan/light we had in the livingroom. This light/fan fixture came with the home when we purchased it.
Of course it sits upside down with the candle inside.
What do you think? Figgy and hubby purchased these vintage picnic baskets on line and at an antique store for me.
This smaller one is from Figgy, it is made of tin.
I can't wait to decorate with it. What do you think I will do??
This one here Hubby purchased, this one is made of wood. It is quite large (can pack alot of lunch in here). I am still thinking of what it is I want to do with this one. Lots of different ideas floating around in my mind. How well do you know me, what do you think I will do with these baskets?
Leave a comment letting me know what you think I will be up to.
I am linking up to the following, and I would like to thank all hostess's for having the parties;

DRESS OF PINECONES

MY DRESS OF PINECONES
I have linked up to a party over at No Mininimalist Here. Thanks Sherry for hosting the party!!
Head on over there for tons of holiday inspiration and home decor, galore... I have also linked up to several other linky holiday parties, see list below. I would also like to thank all of those hosts as well.
I have this dressform I purchased several weeks ago (have wanted one for ages) and will attempt to dress it up on all holidays and any other occassion that I can think of.
There is a post here of it dressed for Harvest.
My attempt is to not purchase anything, but use what I have by way of vintage tablecloths, doilies and other miscellaneous materials. With the focus on a torn and tattered kind of look. Well....I failed on the holiday materials, specially the pinecone piece. This materials goes so well in my home. I just had to have it. Do you notice the necklace of antique keys?
This bow is made from some ribbon I had (I followed my rule here) the feathers I purchased at JoAnn's awhile back. These feathers line the side of the dress. It also has a large sash of red and green tule. The top is a swag of vine and pinecones and some pipberries.
If you would like to see more decorations in my home you can go to this post here and here.
I will be also linking up on Friday to the following linky parties. Please go on over to find more holiday inspiration. If you are looking for a decorating idea you won't be dissapointed looking around at these places:

BELIEVE

This is a gift for a friend.
I so love this image of these two little boys....
I have used it many times in the past in different projects.
Go here to see it in a halloween project, and here in a journal project, here on some tags, and here on another journal project (this one is a favorite).
This photograph I found in hubby's scrapbook he made back in grade school. Hubby says his mother gave it to him for the scrapbook and does not recall who these children are.
I have asked other family members, no one knows.
They sure do look like family members, but which ones??
Any how, I LOVE this photograph...I made a copy of the image and using a piece of a vintage holiday card I sewed them both onto a piece of wool. The snowman is a cutout from another greeting card as is the dog and cat.I made a santa hat for the wee little one and glued on some rusty old bells. (everyone knows I love rusty little bells)
I finished off the piece with a piece of holiday twine for hanging.
I enjoyed making this special gift.
"JUST BELIEVE"
Thanks for stopping by.

THE NORTH POLE

WELCOME TO THE NORTH POLE
(notice the words on the building)
Last year hubby and I took a road trip to the North Pole in upstate New York. This day happened to be one of the coldest days of the year, but then again, it is the North Pole. The train was not running that day, due to the cold weather.
This was a scene in the church building.
This village has been here for many years, most of the scenes are original and very vintage.
More vintage fun.
This is the barn where the reindeer were. I feel bad for animals that are caged, so no pictures here. All six reindeer harnesses. Love the leather and brass.
And of course we all know who this is!!!
Thanks for stopping by
Happy Holidays to all.
