PARTY DETAILS

I wanted to share with you our decorating details for the family and friends summer party.
Figgy and I love the details, the theme this year was fishing.  These were the table center pieces, a map and keys of Isle La Motte, images of the fish, bobbers and fishing lures.

Using a wooden boat I had in our living room in the basement, I filled it with the paper plates, utensils and napkins.  Also included are one of the bobbers we created using white paper lanterns.
I found those instructions here.
If you look closely there are also some red and white hamburger paper baskets, I love, love these things, I found them at the Christmas Tree Shop.

Thanks for stopping by.

YUP, MY KIDS

We had our annual Family and Friends Summer Party, what a party it was!!!
Every year during the parties we have set up a photo opportunity for those that want to join in.
My Figgy is here in the front of the boat with her Lil Olivia, the others are her best friends from college, I think of them as her family, yup my kids!!
These young people have the best time together no matter what they are doing.
It is always a hoot when you give them props and a camera, this one is priceless indeed.

A GIFT FOR MY AUNTIE

While making the six ATC's (you can see that post here)
I printed a larger robin onto a vintage dinner napkin and put it aside for I knew just what I was going to do with it.
On an antique leather book cover I created this for my Aunt, Cindy.
She loved it....

NATURE ATC'S

This is the very first time I have made an ATC (artist trading card) these cards are tiny, at least tiny for me.  I have never done one in the past feeling that the space 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" is just not enough space for me to create in.
Well I decided to give it a whirl.
These six are for a swap, and the last one (bunny) is for the hostess.
The swap is taking place in the Kindred Souls Art Group.
Rules for this one was the size of course and no paper.

This is the bunny for our hostess, Gloria.
I thought he was just darling!
It was the first time I have copied images onto fabric.  I used the freezer paper method (you can google this, a ton of information out there on this)
I think it worked out pretty darn good.
I will be tempting more of this in the very near future.
Thanks for stopping by.
