DRESS UP A SKELETON

I really love dressing up a skeleton!
I created this dear lady for a swap at Vintage Dragonfly
She sits atop a matchbox filled with goodies.

This is the type I use, I purchased these from Michael's.

I created this one for Cindy.
I am thinking a Halloween tree would be great filled with different skeletons??
Thanks for stopping by.

EARLY CHRISTMAS CARD

I created this Christmas card for a challenge at The Craft Hole on Facebook.
I will share how I created this card.
Using a heavy piece of card stock the size of a standard card I modge podged tissue paper on the background.
I searched through my stash of used Holiday greeting cards and found this Santa and chose another greeting card where I liked the gold and silver trim.  I set out to do some fussy cutting.
I took a piece of applique and painted it with brown glitter paint with some gold in places.
I purchased some paper snow flakes (I glittered with gold flakes) at Michael's a few days ago along with the little candy canes, a couple packages of poinsettias and some other fun items (I will share in a later post).
I used silver glitter paint on Santa's hat and sleeves and red glitter paint on his red suit parts to make him pop.
I hope you enjoy.

FALL VIGNETTE AND A MATCHBOX

My Fall/Halloween decorated stand.

My vignette on the dining room table.
I purchased the fall bouquet several days ago, I love fresh flowers.
My owl is wearing a crown of harvest greatness...Isn't he handsome?

My matchbox I received from JoAnne over at Vintage Dragonfly
I have swapped with her once before, she knows what I love indeed.

I purchased the roses in this bouquet separately, I thought they went really well.

SPOOKY TAG AND A GIFT FOR ????

A spooky tag for a swap partner.
I modge podge the skeleton napkin onto heavy card stock.
This is a large size tag.
I finished off the tag by tucking in a book spine.

I created this piece for a group hostess.  She has received it, so I can post it now.
I purchased the watch piece from Michael's.  Using a copy of an image from a cabinet card I put in the center and cut out a bird from a book.  I painted the two flowers orange and black along with some silk leaves.  I added a witch hat and a bow for the top.  Oh and an old rusty pin!
Thanks for stopping by.

HALLOWEEN PAPER BAG PAGES

These are brown paper bag pages for a swap over at Vintage Dragonfly
We are to create four bag pages (16 total pages) and send them to JoAnne so she can swap them out.  The pages will be layered together to make a book and the book will be mailed
back to us.

The skeleton is a napkin.

Do you notice the rabbit?

There is a lot of glitter on these pages but as you know my camera doesn't pick that up very good, I wish it would...

This silhouette is from a greeting card, fun hah?
I hope the person that opens this page is not to scared of the snake, plastic of course.

A vintage pipe cleaner pumpkin head.

Here is how you fold the sandwich bags in case you wanted to make your own.
These bags are 5 1/8" x 10 5/8" but you could always use the bigger brown paper bags if you wanted your book larger.
These photos are from Vintage Dragonfly.

  1. You should give a book a try, they are great fun.
  2. Thanks for stopping by.
