OLD FASHION COUNTRY STORE

This country store is found in Ripton Vermont
This is an active post office, love this.
Some stats; there is a total of 559 people that live in Ripton.
10 people per 1 square mile.
I love reading all of the flyer's that are posted outside.
Basically this tells you all that is going on in this small town.
Who doesn't love an old country store??
Do you have a country store in your neighborhood?
Thanks for stopping by.
Michele

What a lovely post! I live in a suburb of Minneapolis, called Excelsior. Population of around 1100... we still have "olde" shoppes in our little downtown area next to the lake... and ice cream shop that's been there for over 100 years! We truly enjoy the "small town" feeling, while still a 15 minutes drive away from civilization. :)

We do have some country stores in my town, but I must admit that I haven't visited them in awhile. They are fun to go in though. I think what sets them apart is the friendly service that you get and how they start knowing you by name. You can't get that at your local Walmart! Thanks for stopping by and visiting me too.
