A MORNING WITH MY FIGGY

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!
I am sorry I have not done a post in what seems like forever.
We have been in the middle of an emergency with flooding here on the island we live on. I had not left the island in two solid weeks in fear I would not be able to get back on. In addition to this I was busy at work (town offices) during the emergency situation. The waters have receded some, things are better now.
I was able to go into town to visit my Figgy for Mother's Day. This house is a gift she gave to me.
Figgy knows what mama loves...
We spent a few hours together alone at an antique and craft show. I purchased this photograph of this bear, she is so beautiful, don't you think? I was able to start a little cleaning of the screened in porch. This is my favorite minnow bucket that I decorate for most of the holidays and summer months.
A few weeks ago I joined in on a Mother's Day Brooch Swap over at A Swap For All Seasons.
You can go on over and see all the other brooches posted, if you like vintage brooches this may be the place for you! My swap partner is Sylvia, you can visit Sylvia here.
I just love my brooch and the pillow she made for me.
THANKS Sylvia!!
This is the brooch and vintage doily I gave to Sylvia.
Back to the show...
DOn't you just love this mailbox??
This stack of boxes is covered with Children's book pages. I am interested in making one of these myself.
Does anyone remember these?
I love notions...
I sure do wish I had one of these!!!
This puppy looked so lonely, but not enough cash to bring him home.
A couple of pics on the flood.
This truck is on a road.....
After our visit to the antique and craft show we had a lovely brunch with the boys.
It was a wonderful Mother's Day!
Thanks for stopping by.
Michele

WOW. I love that pic of the bird on your header. Did you take it? It is so vivid. Enjoyed your post. Hope you are now safe from flooding.
Thanks for visiting my blog.
