OLD WOODS

I want to share some photographs with all of you that I took a few years ago.
I live on an island called Isle La Motte in upstate Vermont just a few miles from the Canadian border on Lake Champlain.
Right here in Isle La Motte there is a place called the Chazy Reef you can read about that here
The Chazy Reef is approx 480 million years old, can you admagine this??
These pictures are not of the reef but some woods not far from the reef, these are woods that are at the farthest end of the island but at the head of the island from the water if you can figure that out!
This is some sort of growth on the cedar tree.  These woods are full of cedars.

Look how the trees roots grow on top and around the large rocks.
I can only guess how long these rocks have been here.

Look how this tree has grown, pretty weird hah??

Do you see the root of this tree in between the rock

I love this photo.

I can't say I have ever seen a mushroom that looks like this or this color, I didn't dare to touch it.

Look at how this tree has grown.

Mr. Nook brought me on this walk, it was amazing.

Thanks for stopping by.
Michele
