I have been busy creating these eight pages of Beatrix Potter illustrations for a swap at Altered Papers.
I have several Beatrix Potter books, I think her illustrations are just precious. These pages are copied onto beige colored cardstock and are a large size of approx. 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.
The pages will be swapped out with other pages and a book created for us and returned, I am excited to get my book.
These pages gave me the opportunity to use up bits and pieces of my scrappy items (I have a very large hat box full) I hate to throw anything away you know.
This is 100% sheep wool used here.
This one is actually the ninth one for our wonderful hostess.
I have glitter on the rabbit's coat and the flowers, camera doesn't pick up the glitter that well.
The pink fluffy stuff at the top here is a bag of Easter basket filler I purchased and didn't use, this stuff is baby soft and so nice to work with, go figure. I also used a hankie on the bottom.
More vintage trims and such.
Oh yes, I crocheted using angora yarn along the outside of all of these except the one for our hostess.
Thanks for stopping by.
Michele

What a FUN swap! I feel the same way about Beatrix Potter as you do!
Those are darling! I love Beatrix Potter, and I see you must be a Downton Abbey fan too, especially of the Dowager Countess? :-) Lovely blog! Thanks for stopping in at Cranberry Morning.

Your artwork is a confection for this swap Michele! I am still under the weather and hope to get to my pages this week. I love this theme and maybe we can expand on it next Spring once again!

How adorable! Who doesn't love Peter Rabbit? I love all of the pretty trim that you have used. I'm the same, I hate tossing even the tiniest snippet of ribbon or trim:)
Michele, although your pages look darling in these pics, they really are amazing in person! The textures you've incorporated are incredible; I am still ahhhing over them! They will be a special page in our book :-) M.
There is a juxtaposition of texture and style that I don't really have the words to describe accurately. Looking at your pages I feel both the soft secure feeling of a downy bunny nest, and the sense of outdoorsy woodsy-ness.
Very nice!
