ONE WORLD ONE HEART TOUR

WELCOME to my "ONE WORLD ONE HEART" blog post.
Last year I took part in this large blog party where you meet other bloggers from all over the world. I made many friends last year and I visited many blogs myself. I follow many of these blogs today.
I would like to thank Lisa over at "A WHIMSICAL BOHEMIAN" for all of her devotion to this event. Please go on over to Lisa's blog where you will find a list of all the other participants, fly on the wings of a one world one heart tour with some other bloggers, you may be very surprised where you may end up in the world.
I would like to thank all of you that follow my blog (this makes me happy) and I would like to meet all that stop by during this event so be sure to leave me a comment so I can see that you stopped by. Let me share a little bit about myself.
A few little things that inspire me and some things that I absolutely love.
The other day I realized I must get ready for this event. I also joined in on some swaps that I need to start on. This is what my studio looked like after my last project. OH MY GOSH......
Who got into this box and left it like this??? I guess I was looking for just the right button, this is what happens when one hoards these things.
Boy, I must get busy. I have a lot of people stopping by soon.
Where to start? I only have so much time to work on this.
Saturdays I go to our local auction house. I love, love this place. I don't know what I could possibly want or need there, just more buttons and such to hoard I guess. Oh, and ribbon and lace, I hoard that, too.
Here are some pictures I took at the auction.
A lovely vintage lace dress and a picture of someones aunt I surmised.
Some bling in a box.
An old calendar. I bid on this, but I am frugal so I was not the winning bidder.
A large wasp nest and a Clorox bottle. I already have a wasp nest like this.
And this accordion, who needs an accordion I ask you??
This is my find this week, I purchased this because next week I may purchase more buttons to put in it..... When I got back I finished up my studio cleaning, I think I am all set now for all of my visitors.
I love my space, it is my own. I can do whatever I want here.
I keep a lot of my keepsakes here.
I have also started a collection of my swap items.
I LOVE to join swaps. I treasure each and every item that is sent to me.
My daughter (Figgy) and I have a business selling dog bandanas.
"Emma Bean Designs"
We do local farmers markets, large outdoor events and fall and spring craft shows.
These dog bandanas were Figgy's idea.
This is EMMA BEAN
(the inspiration behind the bandanas)
Here is a few items I have created. Embellished organza bags with vintage lace and trims. I am offering up six (6) of these bags as my giveaway to one lucky winner.
I will do a drawing on February 17th. Be sure to leave a comment and a way to get in touch with me, should you be the winner of these beauties.
This hanging collage is of my parents. This hangs in my studio.
This hanging collage is my dad as a little boy, and is on the wall of our spare room. I have a dress form that I dress for the holidays.
I love doing this.
This is a holiday dress.
This is a harvest dress. A Halloween collage I made for Figgy. Halloween is her favorite holiday, next to Christmas.
Here are some things that I just love.
A bird nest.
Old photographs. My Figgy of course. Going to yard sales, rummage sales, auction houses and flea markets. I look for more buttons at these places......oh and lace and trims. A tree dedicated to my Dad.
My collection of old cookie cutters and kitchen items.
I don't like to cook though, go figure that........I love fancy, frilly, pink lady things.
My home.

This is our favorite place to hang out.
Some favorite photographs.
I hope you have enjoyed the tour into my life.
Before you go I would like to share this;
Wear a cheerful expression
at all times and give
a smile to every
living creature
you meet.

MY TREASURED VINTAGE VALENTINES

HAPPY FRIDAY!!!!!I wanted to share with all of you some of my most treasured treasures.
These are vintage valentines that were given to my dad when he was a small child.
I LOVE these!!!
I think this one is my favorite. I think this one is pretty sweet, too.
FUN...
Each and everyone is fantastic.
Notice the little puppy??
My Aunt Cindy and Aunt Gail gave to me a scrapbook full of my dad's vintage cards; Valentine's Day, Birthday, Get Well, Christmas, Baby shower cards and more.
I will treasure these cards always, and probably show them off often.
I have linked up to the following blog parties. Be sure to go on over to have a look around, you just may be inspired!!
I want to thank all of the hostess's for hosting.
Have a sunshine weekend.
Thanks for stopping by.

FRENCH/SHABBY CHIC/PARIS INSPIRED BAGS ON ETSY

I finally finished up with the rest of the organza bag dying process.
(see earlier post)
I used wine red, bright yellow, and purple dye. The bags are so white and see through that they didn't come out in the shades as I intended. These are more like pastel colors, pretty though.Using scraps of vintage lace and trims from my stash. I started out by sewing with my sewing machine a strip of lace or trim along the bottom of each bag.
I then glued another piece of lace or trim along the top of that.
Cutting out many pieces from my stash of trims and lace and a stash of vintage wedding dress scraps I glued to the bag.
Using vintage buttons, cubic zirconia post earrings (a stash from my dad) and some other miscellaneous babbles and bling I glued randomly on some of the bags.
These bags are now available in my etsy shop.
I have grouped them in lots of four, in four colors, white, yellow, red and purple (pastels).
I have many more to post on etsy, this was a good start for today.
What did you do over the weekend?
Thanks for stopping by.
