MY CREATIVE SPACE AND A HOE OUT

Welcome to my creative space.

I have blogged about my space a few different times through the years.

I decided I needed to do a much needed hoe out, and boy did I do that indeed.

I do love my space, it is where I have stuff that I love, a few things that I like to hoard, a space to be alone and just plain enjoy myself.

This space of mine is the only area in my home that you would find girly girl things, things I didn't get a chance to have or enjoy as a small child.

FOUND AMAZING GREETING CARDS

A few weeks ago I found these greeting cards at a yard sale.

The cards are called Santoro Graphics.

NEW BIRD TO THE YARD

Three of these birds showed up on the lawn the other day.

I had never seen these before so I quickly got my camera to take pics.

They are a little blurry, these were taken through the dining room window.

I quickly googled the bird and I think they are Flickers, a type of woodpecker.

These birds are beautiful, all their different markings and the red on the back of their heads is amazing.

I really hope I don't see much of them again, I would hate for them to make a home pecking at my house (log cabin) this would not be good.

MR NOOK AND A TRIP TO MAINE

Back on May 27th it was Mr. Nook and my 24th wedding anniversary.

We decided to take a few days and go to Maine to celebrate.

Last October we took a trip to Maine, York Beach area with some friends.  Well the weather was awful, it rained for all three days we were there and one of our friends was sick with a bad cold.  Needless to say Mr. Nook and I said we would go back for a visit and we did.

As you can see the weather was beautiful.

This light house is called Cape Neddick Light house in York Maine.

Here is Mr Nook relaxing and enjoying himself on the beach.  this beach is called one mile beach and it is wonderful.

We love to explore everything on our trips.

I think Mr. Nook would love to be a lobster fisherman...

Here he is again doing the one thing he loves to do, fish.

BUSY AGAIN

Have you ever altered a paint brush?

A small to medium size paint brush painted with green glitter paint with some vintage lace and trims and a copy of a photograph of a relative that no one knows who it is.

Let me explain..

Some years ago while going thru family photos and such with Mr. Nook and his sister Lois.   We came upon this old photograph, see the actual photograph here and here.

I have created many items using this image for I think it is the sweetest thing ever.

Right away I realized this little boy here looks just like Lois however, it is not Lois she said and besides that it predates her anyways.  She also knows it is not her two brothers, has to be family members before her generation but has no idea who they are.

Lois then asked her brother Noel if he had any idea, he does not.

Some day the mystery may be solved but for now it is the sweetest photograph I have come across in some time.

ANOTHER ENVELOPE

I received another envelope full of goodies to create something with.

The theme of the envelope was Alice In Wonderland.

This is what I came up with.

A large tag tucked inside a popcorn bag I purchased at the dollar store.

The friend I received the envelope from is having a birthday in a few day,s so I sent her this for her birthday.  I think she likes Alice In Wonderland!
