I SO LOVE COFFEE

I really can't say I am a morning person, but I can say I do love that time of day, sitting down with a good cup of coffee.

I purchase my coffee beans and grind them each morning per cup, it is the freshest way to go.
I also love storing my coffee beans in one of my largest bell glass jars, I love the looks of the beans in the jar sitting on the counter.

How do you prepare your cup of java?

OUR GRAND BABY AND HER JOURNAL

Our grand baby, Lil O (Olivia) loves to do arts and crafts.
Lil O is 15 months old, look at her work!
Mr Nook (Papa) is looking on as she creates in her journal.

I purchased some washable markers and received some bunny and Easter egg stickers from a swap partner, so I brought those along last week for our visit with Lil O.

I plan on bringing her journal each week for her.
Papa and I purchased more sticker books for her and we will be getting some playdoh, her mommy says she loves that, too.

I will keep you posted on her creative journaling.
Thanks for stopping by.

ONE BUNNY DONE

I have one of the bunnies done and here she is as promised.
If you are not up to speed on the topic, I purchased these bunnies at the Christmas Tree Shop a few weeks ago.  You can see that post here.
.

Using one of two Dakin Farm ham bag,s I made an outfit for the bunny.  I am not sure if I will use the other ham bag on the second bunny or not, still thinking about that.

A few weeks ago I purchased cheese cloth from our local dollar store.  I spent a tad bit of time dying some of it so I could have it on hand for gosh knows what.  I guess I found a use for some of it a little sooner than I thought, always good to plan ahead sometimes....

I found the perfect piece of vintage doily to use as a little vest, cute hah??
I painted the inside of the ears with a little bit of light pink paint with glitter.  My camera hates to pick up the glitter, but it is there.

I adhered the bunny to a piece of book cover so I could add some brown hay around the bottom and added some eggs and tiny pine cones.  On the back of the bunny is a piece of the back of the ham bag that has the cooking instructions on it.
I am so please how she turned out.  I hope the second one turns out good, too.

I will post the other bunny as soon as that one is completed.  I must get these in the mail, sending them to Nevada.
Thanks for stopping by.

ALTERING BUNNIES

I plan to alter these two bunnies for gifts for Easter Holiday.
I purchased these at the Christmas Tree Shop a few weeks ago.  They were dressed in cheap country theme clothes and had very long legs.  As you can see the clothes are cut off (thrown in trash) and the legs are cut off.  The bunnies have rice in the rumps so sit on the table pretty good.

I am still thinking about how exactly I want to dress these two.  I will post when I have finished.

CHILDREN FAIRIES

The following tags are for a swap.  Six tags will be swapped out with six other tags and then made into a book.  I look forward to receiving my book of fairy children.

I used snippets of button garland on most of these tags.

This tag I created for our hostess.  I used some of my very vintage pom pom ribbon, darling don't you think?

I have had these pages of fairy children for quite sometime.  When the swap presented itself I knew exactly what I would be using.  Sometimes things just work out perfectly.

HAVE YOU SEEN A ROBIN YET??

I have been busy as a bird like I mentioned the other day.
I've been so in the mood to create items with a spring themed almost as if it will make the warmer weather come sooner around here.
I used a vintage doily for the base of this tag.

These are a larger size tag, 3 1/2 x 7 1/2.  I do love using a bigger surface.
I used a vintage beige and green doily on this one.

Using an acrylic painting book full of birds, I copied the image of this robin and used in all three of these tags.  I thought that using a robin would be a great spring statement, do you?
In this tag the robin sits in her blue nest.
I again used a round vintage doily on this one as well.
I really like how these came out.

BUSY AS A BIRD

I've been busy as a bird lately.
Spring is on it's way, at least it is in my studio.
I have created this spring spoolie for a swap.
There is a thread spool under there, on top is two small vine wreaths which makes the bird nest.

The nest is full of plant moss, yarn and some other pieces of fabrics.  Birds do like to gather all sorts of things when creating their nests...

We are also to include a spring/Easter type box and fill with goodies.  This is the cover of a box I altered.

This is the inside of the box, no peaking if my swap partner is looking...

I have lots more Spring themed items to show you so be sure to stop back soon if your in the mood for some spring time.
Thanks for stopping by.
