LARGE BIRD CONDO

Mr. Nook put out my bird feeders the other day.  I have been enjoying the variety of birds coming to eat and watching those busy making their nests for the season.
This bird house belongs to my neighbor, a bird condo I think, pretty neat don't you think?

This house has been around for several years and looks it as well, but that worn look is just what I love.

OLDE WOODEN TRUCK

Going through some pictures (I have hundreds) I came upon these old wooden trucks I thought I would share them with you.
A few years ago Mr. Nook and I took a road trip to one of our favorite quaint little towns for our Anniversary.
In the restaurant which is on the waterfront of Lake Champlain in New York state were these wonderful olde wooden trucks.

Who would not want to own one of these, I sure would.
I have an old rusty truck but nothing of wood.

LIL O's WEEKLY JOURNAL WORK

Lil O worked on her journal again last week.  She sure does love the stickers and really enjoys the sticky notes.
Here she is wearing Nana's hat.

NEW NEIGHBORS HAVE MOVED IN

We have had a pair of rabbits around for a week or so now.
Every morning they are on the back lawn, just outside my kitchen window.
I am getting really accustomed to looking for them first thing in the morning.

This one here is a pretty good size.

Do you have any wildlife in your back yard?

BEATRIX POTTER PAGES

I have been busy creating these eight pages of Beatrix Potter illustrations for a swap at Altered Papers.
I have several Beatrix Potter books, I think her illustrations are just precious.  These pages are copied onto beige colored cardstock and are a large size of approx. 5 1/2 x 8 1/2.
The pages will be swapped out with other pages and a book created for us and returned, I am excited to get my book.
These pages gave me the opportunity to use up bits and pieces of my scrappy items (I have a very large hat box full) I hate to throw anything away you know.

This is 100% sheep wool used here.

This one is actually the ninth one for our wonderful hostess.
I have glitter on the rabbit's coat and the flowers, camera doesn't pick up the glitter that well.

The pink fluffy stuff at the top here is a bag of Easter basket filler I purchased and didn't use, this stuff is baby soft and so nice to work with, go figure.  I also used a hankie on the bottom.

More vintage trims and such.
Oh yes, I crocheted using angora yarn along the outside of all of these except the one for our hostess.

SUGAR ON SNOW WITH LIL O

A few weekends ago we took our Lil O for her first Sugar on Snow Party.
What a party it was, indeed!
Here is Lil O and her Papa looking at the boiling process, she kept looking at the steam rolling up through the center of the building asking "what that"

Lil O was so fascinated with the band, she loved it!!

We love all the animals.

We had a wonderful time at the Sugar on Snow party,  but then again we have a wonderful time whatever it is we are doing with our darling Lil O
Papa ate all the sugar this time!

A LOOK AROUND THE HOUSE

A little look around the house.

A part of my collection of vintage bottles from a bottle dump north of our beach.
You can see that post here.

This Warning sign hung on my Aunt Ida's lake cottage for years.

An old thermostat and clock, great hah?

We still have a little snow that needs melting in the back, won't be long now.

DOLLAR STORE CHEESE CLOTH AND DYE

Every now and again I like to visit our local dollar store.  During my last visit I found some cheese cloth, I purchased several packages.
I really like the looks of dyed cheese cloth for that rustic feel.

I have had my dyes for sometime now, they last a long time.
I love this color.

This red is really not bright red but more like a barn red, know what I mean?

Then of course I got out my jar of instant coffee.
I have used a little of the cheese cloth on one of my altered bunnies, you can see that post here
I enjoy having items all ready to go, makes creating so much easier when I can just grab and go.
