IT'S ALL IN THE DETAILS

My granddaughter, Lil O will be turning one in December.
Her mommy wants to have a birthday party with family and friends in a lodge for a weekend in New York state.  This  Nana has been tasked with the decorating, if you follow my blog you know that when I decorate for a party I am all about the details, little and small.
The theme is winter wonderland.
Some pine cones spray painted white, just for now.

Some birch tree twigs, painted white for now.

I went to my four favorite acorn trees a few days ago, not one acorn or top to be found.
I think these little guys beat me to it, not one??

I plan to make birds nest and spray paint them white and blue and possibly some glitter.

I have been on a mission to find birds of all different kinds, I think I have a good start of the task.
I found these beautiful white roses covered with snow at Michael's.

I purchased five of each tray for our vignettes.

This is my Lil O on her save the date invitation.
I think I am on track with the theme thus far.

I will gift to Lil O all the birds and treasures when we are done.
I will post again as I work to put this all together.
You can see another post on more of the winter wonderland plans here
Thanks for stopping by.

A LITTLE BIT OF THE SEASON

I do love to work with acorns.  These I made last year.  Cute hah?

I would just love to decorate with these beautiful cabbages, some year I will.
Pictures are from my random travels.

I truly do love fall, I specially love the earthy colors.

Some decorations at Figgy's home.
I purchased this for her.

Figgy made these pumpkins from eggs.

Thought I would share some fall goodness.
Thanks for stopping by.

RUSTY SHOES AND CABINET CARDS

I've been meaning to share with you these awesome shoes I found at the
Christmas Tree Shop a few weeks ago while shopping with one of my favorite persons, Cin.
I am not sure what I will be doing with these quite yet, I am thinking they will look so beautiful altered up for the holidays.
I just thought they were so unique.

I also stopped at one of my favorite antique shops, I am getting very low on my collection of cabinet cards.
You know I love a good swap and I love to alter me some cabinet cards.

These were all in very good shape.

Do you have a Christmas Tree Shop where you live?
Thanks for stopping by.
PS, I will post when I alter the rusty shabby shoes.

FAMILY AND A CORN MAZE

Mr. Nook and I had family visiting from Arizona for a few days.
Sunday we met up with our Figgy, Brian and our Lil O for a family day at the corn maze.
I have created some collage pics to share.
Lil O just loves the animals, papa met a new friend there, some scary items and, there is Figgy with a kangaroo.

Olivia is waiting for everyone to come along into the corn maze, Figgy taking pictures of everyone, daddy and Olivia, and Carrie and Destini posing in the corn.

Here are the treasure hunters trying to figure things out.  Maybe they should of asked this person the way.....

Our Lil O got tucker out waiting for everyone to figure it out.
Our precious lil girl had a great time at the corn maze with her family and so did her Nana.
Have you visited a corn maze this season with your family?
Thanks for stopping by.

SOME FALL GOODNESS

Mr. Nook and I had family visiting for my birthday.
We went to our favorite apple orchard and vegetable stand.
I love me some fall goodness!

Pumpkins are the best.

Candy isn't so bad either.

Who doesn't love corn on the cob?

Look at the color of this corn, this is stunning.

I love the shape of this pumpkin reminds me of primitive/folk.
Do you have a favorite apple/pumpkin patch you visit with your family members?
Thanks for stopping by.

WICKED & WHIMSICAL AUTUMN GOWNS AND BAGS

I created two autumn gowns for a swap over at BlissfullArtswap group.

I mailed off the gowns in these altered bags.
I had these bags for awhile, I got them at a re-store a few years ago.
I restrung with black lace for closure and altered with vintage lace and trims.

The gowns are made from a template and are approx. 6" tall.

Bag #2
Have you created any autumn ball gowns or an autumn bag lately?
Thanks for stopping by.
